Program Overview

The focus of The Temporomandibular Complex (CCT-2) is on temporomandibular disorders. Students will be introduced to TMD classification schedules, learn how to differentiate arthralgic, myalgic, neuralgic and discogenic factors, and develop treatment approaches for patients with hypomobility or hypermobility. The course includes intra- and extraoral mobilization and manipulation techniques, an overview of common adjunctive oral appliances, as well as the management of the non-surgical TMD patient.
