Program Overview

The focus of the CCT-1 is on the neuro-musculo-skeletal anatomy of the sub-occipital spine, calvarium, facial skeleton and temporomandibular complex.  Students will become familiar with the classification of craniofacial pain and dysfunction and the multi-factorial evaluation of patients with the various sub-occipital, cervical, shoulder girdle and TMJ syndromes and their clinical implications, such as tension-type and cluster headaches, occipital neuralgia, temporal arteritis, Arnold-Chiari, Barre –Lieou, among others. Students will learn many manual therapy options to be used in clinical practice upon completion of the course.

None.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The course is designed for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants, dentists, physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, and chiropractors. All participants are expected to participate in the hands-on portions of the courses.

The Cervical, Craniofacial & Temporomandibular Complex program consists of three 2-day courses:

Course CCT-I: The Sub-Occipital Complex
Course CCT-2: The Temporomandibular Complex
Course CCT-3: Complicated and Post-Surgical TMC Treatment

The courses must be attended in order. Each course can be combined with a two-day course in Orofacial Dry Needling offered by Myopain Seminars.
